Apple moved the iTunes business from Luxembourg to Ireland

We continue with the debate between Apple and their businesses in the European Union, and it is according to the latest information, the Cupertino company has decided to move its business and management systems of iTunes Europe from Luxembourg, to Ireland. We imagine that you as many companies, they are present in Luxembourg as companies for tax reasons. However, no moves to a less controversial location, it goes to Ireland in the procedure of sanction and research due to tax “benefits” that Apple has spent years getting the Irish Government.

All indications are that this issue will not stop being controversial for a long time, and less now. For starters, Apple will move all developer accounts, amounting to some 9,000 million dollars, directly from Luxembourg to Ireland. This definitive transfer will take place on Feb. 5.

Right now in a spiral of controversy since Apple has received a request from the European Commission that urges him to pay no less than 14,500 million dollars in tax, all due to the differential treatment that the Cupertino company has been receiving in Ireland, where paid a ridiculous percentage with respect to other companies in the same sector. But remember that this is not limited only to Apple, others such as Google are also present in the country of the lucky clover for these reasons.

Ultimately, the iTunes business move to Cork during the months, from there Apple will provide service to no less than 100 countries, housing information of iBooks, Apple Music, iTunes and the App Store both iOS and macOS. We don’t know if this will get more or less the burning rates that Apple pay in Ireland, but it is a curious move less.
