Samsung Display, Samsung Electronics dedicated to screens, splitting has agreed with Apple to be the provider of its screens OLED that so successful have been thus far for use in future iPhone from (presumably) 2017.
Samsung Display reported a lost operational of near 235 million of dollars during the first semester of this 2016 due to the tight business of them screens LCD and to the incorporation to the same of many competing Chinese that offered these screens to a price very competitive for those devices mobile.
According to Samsung Display, some of his now workers on LCD will be passed to the new unit of OLED this agreement with Apple that foresees a lot of these screens for the new iPhone.
The decision was taken due to the efforts from Samsung Group to restructure them business that not produce benefits to the company.
Samsung is now beginning a strategic withdrawal from the business of LCD displays which are no longer a promise and have become a business that does not bring benefits
The agreement with Apple so it arrives when Samsung is chefs efforts to leave the LCD that market (as it can be read in the words of an official of the Japanese company quote) as does not provide benefits, the market for screens OLED.
According to a study by Nomura Securities, screens OLED will occupy one-third of the global market of smartphones in 2018.
This agreement will give the new iPhone from 2017 if finally is the year in which removed LCD technology a much more vivid, black colors darker, higher brightness, an improvement in the visibility of the screen when it gives you the sunlight directly and a performance enhancement that would enhance the consumption of the battery.
