Obviously this is a new feature of accessibility due to the fact that it is intended to be used by people with visual impairments, something quite interesting because it will allow them to know the time with the vibration of the clock, and thus pass more unnoticed to avoid activating the reading voice. As you can see in the image above, you only have to enter the menu of accessibility and within Voice Over paragraph (this has to be activated), you will have the possibility to activate the Time Taptic.
We will have two options: make double “tap” to know the hours and minutes, or make a triple “tap” will only know the minutes. And the options that we have for configuration are the following:
- Every ten hour long digits, which will give a vibration and vibration cutting for each additional hour. We continue with the minutes in the same way.
- Curt.
- Code Morse, that are available from the time using this system of communication in code.
A great innovation that comes to consolidate the interest of Apple to improve the lives of disabled people and let them know the time through Apple Watch in a way quite discreet.
