Apple launched the new Apple TV Remote for iPad and iPhoneapplication, this application is used to control the fourth generation of Apple TV, together with older models of the Apple TV. Anunciado at WWDC, the new “remote” app has been available to developers since June and was released to the public yesterday.
The new remote application, which connects to an Apple TV via Bluetooth, mimics the exact remote control use Siri for a browsing experience that is simplified through different input methods. Its design was inspired by the command of Siri and is a significant improvement over the previous implementation of remote control for the Apple TV.
When playing content such as movies or music, the Remote application has a full view of “Playing” for the purposes of control, along with a dedicated menu button and a button of Siri. To control remote physicist of the Apple TV, browsing through the iOS app is done using touch gestures.
The introduction of text, such as passwords and user names, is much easier with Remote iOS app, since any text field automatically launches a keyboard. Complete Siri voice commands are supported. Since it includes the same gyroscope and accelerometer to the remote Siri, an iPhone can be used as a dedicated gaming device to play games on the Apple TV.
The application Apple TV Remote requires iOS 9.3.2 or later on your iPhone and iPad, and works with the current version of TVOS, 9.2.2. It can also be used to control the Apple TV 2 and Apple TV 3 devices.
