During the month of may, many were the countries that celebrated the mother’s day. For a special day, Apple returned to put in place the machinery of your ads and offered us a new announcement based on Shot on iPhone, which we could see various photographs taken by users, in which saw mothers with their children. But we can also find some other video in the advertisement. As usual, this announcement has seen is in many countries of the world but in different versions as to adapt to different cultures, the Cupertino-based company has been forced to eliminate same-sex couples who appear in the ad in some countries.
According to the French magazine has published Jeanne Magazine Apple has removed the ad of same-sex couples who appear in the ad that was launched in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Spain among other countries. Countries where can see the modified ad are Germany, Italy, Turkey, Japan and France. Despite the freedom that always has proclaimed Apple occasionally to sexual orientation, behind the company always there is a stock which is who has to take such decisions to try not to offend certain cultures with such acts.
Of course, Apple isn’t the only company that performs different ads for some countries. Toyota, removed a couple of the same sex in the notice to France, Coca-Cola eliminated images of a wedding with partners of the same sex in Ireland. The same ad for Coca-Cola that aired in France, the firm changed those images by a football match and we could be. The commercial interests of the companies are ahead of any policy that may affect the sales of their products.
