Just after it was revealed that the new album of Frank Ocean, “Boys Do not Cry”, would be released exclusively at Apple Music, another exclusive has been revealed by Britney Spears, she announced that her new album, for the first time in three years, comes exclusively at Apple Music on 26 August.
The album, entitled “Glory”, is has State waiting for during a period long of time, but only now have published a date of release. The album is a continuation of “Britney Jean’ in 2013 and is the beginning of what the singer is calling “the beginning of a new era”.
The new Britney Spears album will also be available to pre-order on iTunes from midnight tonight (EST). Those who pre-order will receive an instant download of “Private Show”, a track that is not included on the album.
“Gloria” is the second album from high-profile revealed to be exclusive of the Apple Music streaming service in the past two days. “Boys Do not Cry” Frank Ocean will be available starting this Friday, August 5. In addition, Ocean has partnered with Apple to make a print magazine available in stores Apple retailers.
It has been rumored that Apple is interested in the acquisition of Tidal, streaming service which owns Jay-Z. The two companies have also fought for exclusive rights to the albums, including the most recent offer from Kanye West, “The Life of Paul”.
In the past, Apple has launched exclusively offers from artists like Drake, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and others.
“Glory” by Britney Spears will be available at Apple Music since August 26. It is not clear how much time Apple will have exclusive rights to the album, but in the case of Frank Ocean album, the exclusive period has a duration of 2 weeks.
