The Washington Carnegie Library might hold an Apple Store

Since a few days ago, our beloved Mexican readers already have its first Apple Store, after many years of waiting, but not the only lucky ones. Apple is opening new stores all over the world and looking for emblematic locations for their own shops. According to The Washington Post, Apple has proposed to the City Hall, the opening of an Apple Store in the Carnegie city library, a very important in history already building as the first of the capital of the country to set aside racial segregation. But unlike the classic Apple Stores, the Cupertino-based company wants to give this shop a space for events such as concerts, presentations, small theaters…

However this historic building not is putting the things easy to Apple. The City Council last year handled the possibility of installing a music Museum and an International Spy Museum, but both proposals were rejected by the Department of historic preservation in the city. Local authorities are in favour of this idea, as is this area of the city is growing rapidly and is becoming a busy commercial area.

Currently Apple already has from several stores located in Washington DC, the of Goergetown is the more close the library Carnegie. On the other side of the Potomac can also find the Apple Tore from Claredon and Pentagon City. Of the Claredon just reopened after having been remodeled completely adapted to the new design that the Cupertino-based company is using the new Apple Stores.
