In an official blog post, Plex announced a few changes and new features that will be added to the platform, including changes in the interface, improvements in speed, tagging and much more.
Firstly, Plex says that personal photos are now included with the personal videos. So far, Plex kept the photos and videos into separate libraries. On the other hand, Plex has radically renewed display of photographs in the web service client. Now, previews of images are large and the folders show their titles through a text that appears in white and in bold at the bottom.
Apart from these design changes, Plex also reveals that it has improved the speed in the import of photos up to 300%. This change should significantly help those users seeking to import a large number of images to your library and it is likely that it also possible to encourage more people to switch to Plex knowing the advantage which is the fact that the import process will not entail an incredible amount of time.
