A few months ago, Phill Schiller began to take charge also of the different App Stores that are available in the operating systems by Apple. Much was made of possible changes that would make in the not-too-distant future, but few or none (that I can remember) we have seen so far. The change of which we speak today may be the first of many, and is that some users have begun to see, or rather, not to see the applications that we have installed on our Apple TV.
But that does not panic. What it claims to this change is something that only makes sense: that we do not try to discover applications and see dozens of some that we already know and already we are using in our Apple TV. Yes, for what it is, we want to see the application to consult any information, we can do it from the applications section or by performing a search, we remember that we now find in the App Store of tvOS with the Siri Remote.
The App Store of tvOS shows more precise results
The algorithm also changes the applications that appear in the featured section, so now we will not see an App Store just in two different fourth-generation Apple TV; each user will see an App Store that can interest to it depending on what you already have installed on your set-top box. The bad thing is that this algorithm prevents us to see the real lists, i.e. If the application most downloaded by all users of a country is to Infuse, for example, should appear first and everyone will see another application at the top of all lists, so I think that Apple should think about a way to allow us to return to use the App Store as we had been doing so far. On the other hand, I imagine that everything is getting used to and with time you will be gaining all users to discover new applications and developers to have more opportunities, since the most important applications will not appear in the majority of cases.
Is liable to the question: what do you think about this change?
