
The co-founder and current CEO of Nest, Tony Fadell, confirmed today that has taken the decision to leave the company he created. Six years after founding the company, Fadell seems ready to take the exit door. The Godfather of the iPod gave the Bell with the creation of a smart thermostat and your company was bought by Google. Tony Fadell has chosen a method very times that run to announce his departure. The founder of Nest published an article on his blog that revealed that after having developed a product plan for the past two years and have been an important part of this for a while, was time to leave. The original text read: “Although some people can feel surprised to read this, I’ve been thinking about this decision last year and although I will not be present in the daily life of the company, will remain as an adviser of Alphabet and Larry Page. This will allow me to have the time and flexibility to face new opportunities to create and develop new industries, as well as to give support to others who want to do the same thing as we did in Nest”.
Prior to founding his company, Nest, Fadell worked at Apple and oversaw the creation and the development of the iPod. It was also put in charge of the project of redesign of Google goggles, when the Mountain View company seized market Nest worth a total of $ 3,200 million in 2014. While Fadell argues that it has been a decision pondered for many months, reports on Bloomberg say that his departure is linked to some complaints that have taken place in Nest on its work and the results that it has yielded the company after the fall of sales experienced in recent times.
Fadell will be replaced in the post by a former Executive of Motorola, Marwan Fawaz.
