For most people the address or the intensity of the wind are two things that have too much interest in day to day, but there are some groups that may be very interested in this, as for example practitioners of sports outdoors in which the influence of the same is relevant (cycling, surfing, kite surfing, sailing, etc). And for all of them, Windy comes Pearl.
Concise
While it is true that Windy is a very complete application packed with the features, the truth is that it gives us exactly what ask is detailed information about the wind. When entering a station (son of people or entities that share them freely with everyone) we can see the data represented in a pie chart as with a bottom bar we move in time. Interesting also the switch that allows us to change the movement of the time between 1 and 3 hours, since according to the activities more or less precision can interest us.
A little further down we have the option of viewing the prognosis for hours for some data (speed, direction and temperature) and in the lower part of the screen you can access which for me is the most interesting option: a map of Google Maps in which overlaps the wind direction and intensity with a color code and can furthermore also move through the timeline with ease.
Pros and cons
In favour of Windy there is saying that it presents information in a clear, simple, reliable (personally tested), quickly and without advertising of any kind. The color code makes the information very quickly see and settings we offer allow us to leave the application to our liking so that in one minute we have the information we need in the head.
In terms of the negative you have to note the inconsistency in the design of the application, making sure some areas are well represented but others contain design flaws that are clearly, as well as some small translation error which in any case are forgiven when we speak of an application made by a single person and as a hobby. In any case speak of failure that is solved with very little and that hope that in next versions is changed.
The application is universal (works with the same download on all iDevices), free and devoid of advertising, by what not can ask for much more.
