Although Yalu still remains with the beta label, we cannot say that their development is at an impasse. In fact, Luca Todesco yesterday published the incomplete source of Yalu Jailbreak iOS 10.2 supports. Important to note the word “incomplete”, since what was published is only an early stage of software to which still missing part of the code, including some important patches that will be missing so the software receives the final version label.
The published code is similar to the first version of Yalu Jailbreak, that that was only available for the iPhone 6s/Plus, 7/Plus iPhone and both iPad Pro. Soon after, Todesco said that it would release several patches, which would be one that would add support for iOS 10.2. The bad news is that this jailbreak or this support you will not reach the iPhone Apple launched in September of 2016, i.e. 7 iPhone and iPhone 7 Plus.
Yalu Jailbreak for iOS available now 10.2, but incomplete
The code for the version of Yalu Jailbreak that supports iOS 10.2 is now available on GitHub of the own Todesco Luca and Marco Grassi page, and “incomplete” means mainly that it is limiting in terms of support to a few devices and a few versions of iOS who are not detailed on this page. On the other hand, and in all likelihood, will miss him a patch of important safety that the famous hacker added in a more advanced version of the Yalu. Without more information, it is best next Todesco reminder when it launched the first version of Yalu saying that they should only install the software developers.
Taking into account that there are developers working actively on it, I would recommend to users with iOS 10.2 on your device that had a little more than patience. It is likely that we will soon have a much more advanced tool and polished, which would ensure us a simpler installation process, increased support and stability once installed. If you decide to go ahead despite our warnings, please do not hesitate to leave your experiences in the comments.
