Yesterday, Monday was day of launch of new official software updates from Apple. Along with iOS 10.2.1, macOS Sierra 10.12.3, tvOS 10.1.1 and watchOS 3.1.3, of Cupertino also launched a new version of its multimedia and managing content iTunes player. The new version, iTunes 12.5.5 arrives without any outstanding novelty, or at least nothing that we can see with the naked eye but that, according to Apple, includes “small app and performance improvements”.
From yesterday on 19 h (schedule peninsular Spanish), can download iTunes 12.5.5 from the Mac App Store updates section (by opening iTunes let us know that there is a new version and invites us to update) from the download page of the software if you use a computer with Windows or macOS. Windows users can also upgrade using the option “Check for updates” that is in the Help menu in the player.
iTunes 12.5.5 is a update less, according to Apple
The new version of iTunes comes after a v12.5.4 that itself introduced changes interesting, as the support for the new application TV, that of time and that I know only is available in United States, and the Touch Bar of them new MacBook Pro that arrived to end of 2016. Prior to that, those of Cupertino launched other important updates that changed many aspects of iTunes, as the way in which we see the files or what to me is most important, the ability to see the lyrics of the songs without having to use third-party applications.
With all these releases, yet we miss something: a new version of Xcode. That Apple has not released it just may mean that the current version is fully compatible with new versions of iOS and macOS, tvOS watchOS. If there are new features and as always, we will inform you as soon as possible.
