LG, Samsung, Sharp Japan Display… This could be every month missing until the official presentation of the new models of iPhone, an iPhone that will be the tenth anniversary since its official launch in 2007 and where the display seems to be a fundamental part of the device. The latest rumors surrounding the next iPhone, point that Apple will launch a new exclusive 5.8 inch model, a model that will complement those already available 4.7 and 5.5 inch. The only model that would implement the technology screen OLED would be the latter, that of 5.8 inches. The model of 5.8 inches would eliminate by full them frames side of the device, offering a look similar to the Galaxy Edge of Samsung.
As we can read in DigiTimes, citing sources from the Taiwan assembly line, Samsung will be one of the leading provider of panels OLED the new iPhone, which will be released in September of the coming year. This information is consistent with the one published by Korea Herald, ensuring that the next month of January both companies gather to sign the agreement.
Samsung currently has a production capacity of 20 million monthly panels about 240 million annually. The company continues working to expand the chain of mounting and expected that for the year 2019 can manufacture annually ones 590 million of panels OLED, more than the double of the production current.
In addition, DigiTimes says a third manufacturer, Winstron, has joined the select group of companies that joined the different components of the iPhone in the coming year. Pegatron and Foxconn are now the companies responsible for this process, which is added Winstron, who already has previously worked for Apple assembling the components of the iPhone 5s and the iPhone WAS launched last March, both 4-inch models.
