Apple began work for the refurbishment of its iconic shop located on Fifth Avenue at the beginning of this year, but little is known about the plans of the company. New information from Bloomberg, however, offer more details about the reform and Apple plans to grow the settlement “more than twice the original size”.
During the hearing held last Wednesday, the Chairman of Boston Properties, Douglas Linde, explained that Apple is going to double the size of its Fifth Avenue store. Boston Properties is the co-owner of building that General Motors has on Fifth Avenue and which in turn is the Apple Store and its famous Crystal cube. Linde said during his speech that Apple has been the “mysterious tenant on which we have been talking about for more than one year” when we mentioned the issue of occupying the empty retail space that was in the Fifth Avenue building.
